The mission of FLACSO´s Central Library in Argentina is to satisfy data and documents requirements of the community to which it serves, to develop means for the access and use of data by those members requiring so, to maintain physical and virtual spaces which create the best learning and research conditions and to preserve, technically process and publish the bibliographic and newspapers inheritance built throughout its history.

The thematic areas covered by the collection are: Education, History, Sociology, Political Sciences, Cognitive Psychology, Social Management, as well as in shorter proportions Anthropology, Environment, Women, Youth, Public Opinion, Gerontology, Bioethics and Public Policies.

The bibliography is composed of 12000 books; 400 magazine titles and 4000 work documents (thesis, brochures and research reports included, among others). This bibliographic material is obtained by purchase, exchange or donations.  

QUERIES

Students, Teachers and Researchers of FLACSO:  Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

External Visitors: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
By paying $2, up to 10 documents may be consulted per visit (Rule in force as of May 15th, 2001 by the unanimous decision of the Directors of FLACSO and the Library of Social Sciences).
