FLACSO has developed several research programs that respond to the diverse issues that Argentinean society, in particular, and Latin-American societies, in general, have brought up to the Social Sciences. The research departaments, which count with a vast professional history, are already an integrating part of this branch. Recently, a considerable number of programs have complimented the already existing research activities in an attempt to provide answers to some of the more novel issues at stake.
