This master was created during the dictatorship in Argentina and it is considered the dean master in social sciences in Argentina. During the past three decades, many of the most recognized researchers of Argentina and of this field have been associated to it as either professors and/or students.

It offers an exceptional distinction: Students may attend an even total amount of quarterly core or elective subjects taught by different professors or given in different programs in the Master itself, in other post-graduate programs at FLACSO or other university institutions. Likewise, the students may choose two of the elective subjects as “individual managed readings” at most. The purpose is to allow students to design a plan of study according to their academic, professional and personal interests with the highest quality degree.
