istória e histórias do léxico: diferentes perspectivas
Resumen de la Propuesta
Com este dossiê temático da Revista LaborHistórico, pretende-se trazer novas contribuições para as chamadas ciências do léxico numa perspectiva histórica. É bem sabido que a Lexicologia, a Lexicografia e a Terminologia – disciplinas que integram essas ciências – foram estabelecendo, nas últimas décadas, os respectivos estatutos epistemológicos, definindo escopos e métodos próprios. Ainda assim, isso não impede que aquelas disciplinas devam cruzar-se, objetivando uma perspectiva “holística”, por assim dizer, das dimensões envolvidas no léxico (veja-se Villalva e Silvestre, 2014), tanto mais que o estudo do léxico envolve igualmente outras áreas da Linguística (fonética/fonologia, morfologia…). É evidente que, a exemplo dos demais níveis linguísticos, o léxico também varia e muda ao longo do tempo. Processos de mudança lexical até costumam chamar mais a atenção dos usuários da língua do que aqueles que afetam os domínios restantes do sistema estruturado a que se chama língua. Dada a natureza do léxico, delinear uma história geral – de várias línguas ou de uma só, de palavras ou de unidades lexicais, de (sub)sistemas lexicais ou de campos semânticos – é uma investigação que, além de atender a aspectos históricos, a práticas sociais e a movimentos culturais, pode ser objeto de diferentes perspectivas e metodologias (veja-se a já clássica Historia del Léxico Románico (1974), de Helmut Lüdtke, ou a História do Léxico Português (1990), de Dieter Messner). Tendo em vista a diversidade de olhares sobre o léxico e sobre sua história, a presente chamada da revista LaborHistórico – periódico voltado para os “estudos desenvolvidos a partir de fontes escritas nos quais se destaque o labor do historiador diante de seu material de trabalho” – tem por objetivo reunir textos (artigos, resenhas, traduções, fontes primárias etc.) que, em algum aspecto, se relacionem com a história do léxico, em sentido lato ou estrito. Assim, serão muito bem-vindos trabalhos que, no âmbito das diferentes ciências do léxico, tratem de temas relacionados à variação e à mudança lexical, às relações entre léxico e sociedade, aos processos de formação de palavras e de lexicalização, assim como ao estudo de terminologias e de obras lexicográficas. ---------------------------------------- This LaborHistórico’s thematic edition aims at bringing new contributions to the sciences of the lexicon in a historical perspective. It is well known that Lexicology, Lexicography, and Terminology, subjects that are part of these Sciences, have been creating their own epistemological statuses in the past decades, defining specific scopes and methods, though this does not suppress a “holistic” perspective on what is related to the studies of the Lexicon (see Villalva and Silvestre, 2014). Such subjects must intersect, especially since the study of the Lexicon is also related to other branches of Linguistics (Phonetics/Phonology, Morphology...). It seems quite obvious that, like the other linguistic levels, the Lexicon also presents variation and change through time. Some processes that occur at the lexical level draw even more attention to speakers than those that operate at the remaining domains of this structure system we call language. Given the Lexicon nature, to chart general history of it, of several languages or even of a single one, of words or lexical units, of lexical (sub)systems or semantic fields, is such an investigation that can be the objective of different approaches and methodologies, besides attending to historical aspects and social and cultural movements (see the classic Historia del Léxico Románico (1974), by Helmut Lüdtke, or the História do Léxico Português (1990), by Dieter Messner). Considering the diversity of interpretations on the lexicon and its history, this call for the LaborHistórico journal – a journal focused on “studies developed from written sources in which the historian’s work on their work material stands out” – aims to gather texts (papers, reviews, translations, primary sources etc.) which, to some extent, are related to the history of the Lexicon, in a broad or narrow sense. Thus, amongst the many diverging Sciences of the Lexicon, the following topics are welcome to this edition: lexical variation and/or change, the relations between the lexicon and society, word-formation and lexicalization processes, studies concerning terminology and lexicographic works.
