Global Studies Programme

International Master's Degree (M.A in Social Sciences) in association with Freiburg University (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) and Humboldt University of Berlin.
Modality: in person.

Director: Victoria Mutti.

The second semester of the Global Studies Programme is taught simultaneously at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and at FLACSO Argentina. In 2008, our institution became one of the official sites of the program, thereby contributing a Latin American perspective to the main debates surrounding globalization.

Given that the Argentine branch of FLACSO has an extensive and recognized history of research programs related directly to the process of globalization, the Global Studies Programme assembles an interdisciplinary team of teachers and researchers responsible for teaching classes throughout the semester. The team consists of experts in global governance, the environment, public policy design, intellectual property, social movements, culture and identity, international cooperation, among others.

The semester is open to a limited number of local students interested in enriching themselves with an interdisciplinary academic experience that integrates sociology, international relations, anthropology, history, and political economy. The academic experience of the program is complemented by the diverse composition of the student group from all over the world, providing a rich approach to multiculturalism in Buenos Aires.
